Chie Mihara was born in 1968 to her Japanese parents in southern Brazil. She studied fashion design in Japan and later explored a career in sculpture in New York, where she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her first experience working with footwear was when she got a job at an orthopedic shoe store. It was when she joined the renowned shoe brand Charles Jourdan that she was led to Elda, Spain, where she would build a new life for herself.
In 2001, she took the first step and launched her own brand alongside her husband. Chie revives the value and craftsmanship of traditional shoemaking, paying meticulous attention to every detail that defines the final product: the importance of the sole, the heel, and the silhouette. Living and producing in Elda is her way of preserving the expertise that "Made in Spain" design is celebrated for. Chie draws inspiration from the elegance of 1920s fashion to the playful spirit of the 1980s. A case for beauty and comfort.
